Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP) 12-61-0
1) Description:
Colorless transparent crystal. The relative density is 1.803 and melting point is 190 centigrade. It is easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone. It is stability in the air, and decomposes only a little at 100 centigrade. It loses ammonia and water, and becomes ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid exceeding 190 centigrade. Water solution is acid .(pH of 1% water solution is 4.5.)

3) Application:
Fertilizer:Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP)is a widely used source of P and N, it has the highest P content of any common solid fertilizer.
Non Agricultural Uses:Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP)is used in dry chemical fire extinguishers commonly found in offices, schools and homes. The extinguisher spray disperses finely powdered MAP, which costs the fuel and rapidly smothers the flame.
